Services
I provide a range of counselling services tailored to meet your unique needs and goals. As mentioned, my approach is integrative (but I originated from a person centred counselling background), blending various therapeutic techniques to support your individual journey toward healing and self-discovery. Whether you’re seeking support for personal or professional challenges, relationships, or self-growth, I’m here to walk with you through each step of the way, in a safe and compassionate space where you can explore what's holding you back and take meaningful steps towards growth - whether in your career, relationships, or your personal life.
Relationship Counselling
Relationships can be one of life’s greatest sources of joy and fulfillment, but they can also present complex challenges. My specialism in relationship counselling is designed to help couples, partners, or family members navigate conflicts, improve communication, and deepen understanding. By fostering open dialogue and exploring each person’s unique perspective, together I would help you and your partner (or family member) navigate communication challenges, rebuild trust and foster emotional intimacy where this is possible.  We would aim to create healthier, more fulfilling connections, or maybe understanding each other in a more helpful way to serve you both better.
Individual Counselling
Sometimes, life’s demands, past experiences, or personal struggles can feel overwhelming. Individual counselling provides a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and concerns at your own pace. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, self-esteem challenges, or a desire for personal growth, I am here to support you as you connect with your own inner resilience and clarity.   I am a trauma informed counsellor and have helped clients through a wide ranged of issues including depression, abuse, self esteem, bereavement and loss, infertility, anxiety, OCD, childhood trauma and gender/identity issues.  I have experience with neurodiversity including issues around ADHD and autism.  I am happy to work with clients towards short term goals or with long term needs.
Self-Esteem and Personal Growth through counselling and coaching
If you’re looking to build self-confidence, explore self-acceptance, or work through limiting beliefs, we can focus on areas of personal growth that resonate with you. Using a person-centred approach integrating other therapies if appropriate, I’ll support you in understanding yourself more deeply, nurturing self-compassion, and unlocking your potential for growth. My corporate background has provided me with a deep understanding of the challenges faced in high pressure environments, from navigating complex workplace dynamics to managing stress, burnout and change.  I realised that my corporate experience could be invaluable in helping clients experiencing similar issues, whether it be career uncertainty, struggling with work life balance, experiencing conflict or feeling the strain of leadership responsiblities, by offering a unique perspective that bridges both worlds.   Combining my counselling expertise with my understanding of corporate structures and cultures, I aim to provide a space where you can explore these challenges in a way that feels safe, supportive and constructive, to untangle what is holding you back, building resilience and identifying practical steps towards a more fulfilling and balanced life - both personally and professionally.

What to expect
I offer an initial, free, confidential 30-minute session, giving you the opportunity to meet with me, see my practice, and decide if we are a good fit. My private practice is based in the heart of Princes Risborough, where I provide counselling in a safe space designed for comfort and reflection. Depending on what feels right for you, we will work together face-to-face, or, if easier for you, via zoom.

I aim to be as flexible as possible to accommodate your needs and scheduling. My goal is to provide a therapeutic space where you feel supported and empowered to explore your inner world and find the path forward that feels right for for you. After our first session, we would work out the best strategy for your counselling needs and how we would work together that best suits your needs.

What is person-centred counselling?
Person-centred counselling, developed by psychologist Carl Rogers, is a humanistic approach to therapy that emphasises the importance of creating a supportive, empathetic environment for clients. At its core, this approach is built on the belief that individuals possess the capacity for self-understanding and personal growth when provided with the right conditions.

Key Principles of Person-Centred Counselling:

-
Empathy: As a person-centred counsellor, I strive to deeply understand your feelings and experiences. This empathetic connection allows you to explore your emotions without fear of judgment, helping you feel validated and understood.
-
Unconditional Positive Regard: I maintain an attitude of acceptance and non-judgment, valuing you as a person regardless of your thoughts, feelings, or behaviours. This creates a safe space where you can openly express yourself and explore difficult topics.
-
Congruence: I aim to be genuine and transparent in our therapeutic relationship. By being authentic, I encourage you to be open and honest about your feelings, fostering trust and connection.
-
Self-Exploration: The person-centred approach empowers you to take the lead in your counselling journey. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, allowing you to uncover your own insights and solutions.
Through this approach, I believe you can tap into your inner resources, enhance self-awareness, and work toward meaningful change. The ultimate goal of person-centred counselling is to help you achieve greater self-acceptance and fulfillment in your life.
However, I do work as an integrative practitioner to bring other modalities into my work if my client wants to work in a certain way or we feel together that the person centred approach is not sufficient to meet your needs.
